I do things a little differently here. I want to tell your story and create with you, not just go down a shot list of must-have photos or Pinterest poses - because every couple is different.  I strive to create an environment that's welcoming & fun - that's where the magic happens. Everyone can get a little uneasy in front of the camera, and people are always nervous before a shoot. Most often my engagement sessions end with my couples saying how much fun they had & how easy it was.

trust & connection

Chances are this is your first time getting married and you've got QUESTIONS. I've been in the wedding industry for seven years now, so it's safe to say I've learned all the ins and outs. I'm an open book and always here for my couples, whether you need vendor recs (I send my list of fav vendors to every couple after they book!) timeline advice (I create a custom wedding day timeline for each couple), want a little help figuring out what to wear to a session, or anything in between.

always here to help

Want iconic portraits? Let's do it. Want photos of the real, authentic moments as they unfold? My camera is always poised to capture the in-between. Want to hire someone who knows how to herd cats (aka, wrangle a 15 person wedding party)? Check and check. I incorporate my knowledge of light, movement, and composition with 7+ years of shooting all types of weddings - from micro to elopement to huge 300+ guest count bashes. I love it all, and I've got you covered.

Substance AND Style

my approach

I believe each couple is unique and so are their stories. Humanity is incredibly complex and there are so many layers to who you are and how you love.

You want effortless, genuine photos that feel like you. My style marries together a documentary, fly-on-the-wall approach with my knowledge of how to step in and guide you during the moments when you need a little direction. Knowing when to take the lead and direct, and knowing when to step back and let a moment unfold. This balancing act takes experience, intuition, knowing how to read the room, and knowing how to read my clients. I strive to  make every one of my couples feel seen, valued, and known. This drives my work & enables me to capture genuine, intimate moments. The couples that are drawn to my work are kind, warm, and value connection & love above all else. They know they can trust me to capture the little moments that unfold along with the big ones. The end result of working with me is a gallery full of the candid moments you didn't even know were happening, along with magazine-worthy images you can't wait to hang on your walls.

wedding collections

Each wedding collection is tailored to your unique vision & priorities. After we chat on the phone or over zoom, I create a custom proposal for my couples centered around what they need, as each wedding weekend is different.

frequently asked questions

Here are a few of the questions I get asked the most. Please feel free to reach out if you're curious about something I don't cover here!

Once you decide to book I will send over a proposal for your review. I do ask that all contracts are signed within one week, just to make sure your date is secure. Once the contract is signed and the 50% retainer fee is paid, you're on the books!

I have a pretty severe case of wanderlust, so the answer to this question will always be YES. Travel costs are added to your proposal based on where your wedding/event is located.

Anywhere from 6-10 weeks! It really just depends on my busy season. However, if you need images faster than this, I include an add-on option for rush images that guarantees your final gallery will be delivered within one week of your event.

It really depends on your day. If you're planning a smaller celebration with less than 100 people, you may not need one at all. If you're eloping at City Hall, again, you don't need one! We can chat to see if an assistant photographer is a good fit for your specific day.

My typical payment schedule is 50% due at booking, 50% due 2 weeks before your wedding, but I'm always willing to work with couples who would prefer we break down the payments into thirds.

I do not - my prices are firm.

This is highly dependent on your unique wedding day/event/session, but typically you can expect 80-100 images per hour at a wedding, and around 60-120 images total for enagement/family/newborn sessions.

While I do always edit out temporary things, like that random zit that popped up on your chin the day before our session, or the bruise on your leg, I do not alter physical appearances further than that. We are all so beautiful in all of our different forms. As far as head swaps go - I get this question now & then at family sessions and the answer is also a resounding no. I'm all about real and natural images that depict the beauty of who you really are as a family - silly smiles and all. Head swaps always look weird, unnatural & forced.
