I truly had the BEST time running around downtown with these two. We basically just walked from one patch of awesome light to the next, always chasing the light. Waiting for that sweet spot of golden hour about 2-3 hours before sunset is my favorite – which is why I usually try to schedule sessions in the evening or early morning. Yes, I also shoot in cloudy conditions! I have a lot of couples who live out of town and are only coming into town for a day or two for their session, and we can always work with whatever the Pittsburgh weather gods throw our way! But I love golden hour for the three dimensional quality it can lend to your images. Not to mention, it’s just dang magical!
Ashley & Frank – where do I even begin? So in love, so open and easy with each other and those around them, so fun to photograph. These two have the biggest hearts and it shows. Being able to just let go and roll with it, going with the flow and enjoying each other – that’s what I wish for all my couples during their sessions with me! Even if you don’t feel super comfy in front of the cam-er-rah (said like Jenna from 30 Rock – anyone?) if you go into your session with an open heart and mind, I can do the rest, promise!
P.s. you don’t always need a reason to schedule a portrait session. Sometimes anniversaries can be a nice time to update your photos, but honestly, anytime of the year is great for this! Documenting how your love grows and evolves over the years is one of my favorite things to do. So get at me if you’d like new photos of you and your love. We’ll grab some drinks and explore the city, or go for a hike, or whatever the heck you wanna do. I’m into it.
